Dear Student Driver,

We congratulate you for receiving your Learner’s Permit. You’re just a step away from one of the first major responsibilities of your life, your Driver’s License. Kentucky Driving school can help you get your license the safe and correct way. We are state license and our training may qualify you an insurance discount.  We can pick you up at school , work, or home  for no extra charge. Under the new Graduated Drivers laws make sure you have all driving logs. At the end of driving course, you will receive BTW certificate.

Programs we offer to make you a safer driver:

Classroom

We have a two part 5 hour classroom instruction course    offered on Saturday from 10 AM until 3 PM. A workbook and test must be completed at home. When you have completed the course, you’ll receive a 30 hours certificate. Check with your insurance agent for possible discounts. KDS course does meet the state requirements. The cost is $50.00 for classroom instruction only.

Behind the wheel

All behind the wheel instructions are based upon the Smith System of Driving. We are state licensed and our instructors are certified through the Transportation Cabinet, Division of Driver Licensing and numerous other safety organizations.

With Kentucky Driving School you will learn:

· Left and Right Turns

· Backing up

· Turnabouts

· Parallel parking

· Expressway driving/ on and off ramps

· Driving in heavy traffic… and so much More.

Combo Package

Consists of two Saturday classroom sessions and a workbook to be completed at home. The workbook and test must be completed. When you have completed the course, you’ll receive a 30 hours certificate.  Six hours  behind the wheel  instruction given in  three sessions lasting 2 hours each session.   Check with your insurance agent for the possible discounts.  The cost $325.00. (outside Jefferson Co. $355.00)

Program 1

Behind the wheel only for 1 hour instruction. These lessons will cover a specific problem that you may have encountered. You take only the lessons you need. Make arrangements to take the state driving test in the driving training car for a fee. One hour lessons are $65.00 per hour. (outside Jefferson Co. $75.00—meet at office)

Program 2

Behind the wheel for 2 full hours of instruction. These  lessons  will cover specific problems that you may have encountered. The state driving test in the driving training car is not available for this program. Two hour lessons are $115.00.

Program 3

Behind the wheel for 4 hours instruction, given in two hour sessions.  Make arrangements to take the state driving test in the driving training car. The flat rate is $205.00. (outside Jefferson Co. $260.00)

Behind the wheel for 6 hours instruction, given in two hour sessions.  Make arrangements to take the state driving test in the driving training car. The flat rate is $290.00. (outside Jefferson Co. $340.00)
